Do you have what it takes?
Being a member of CQS is a rewarding experience that takes dedication, determination and athleticism.

Who can try-out for CQS?
- Women 18 and over.
- Must be able to afford monthly dues (currently set at $30)

What should I do before try-outs?
	1.	Email Holly Hunter at Staceyskates@gmail.com and let us know that you’d like to attend a Training Wheel session on Sunday’s at 6pm. Once we assess your skills we will give you a game plan for being a derby girl.
	2.	Get in shape. The more you skate, the better. Derby is a physically demanding sport. You can learn to skate by attending open skates at Skate Station USA in Lexington. You can also join us for our outdoor endurance skate Wednesdays at Riverfront Park. Contact Debya Gore 2000 at debi.schadel@gmail.com for more information.
	3.	Watch roller derby. Learn about the sport, the rules, and the physical demands it might place on your body and mind. There are also tons of videos on YouTube that you can watch.
	4.	Talk to some derby girls. Ask questions. We can tell you what it is really like. Roller girls come from all walks of life, with varying levels of experience on and off the track.
	5.	You can get a good perspective of league life and actually see how we work by volunteering. If you are interested, please send us your information at derek.riley@gmail.com

I’ve made the team, now what?
If you make it, you can expect...
	1.	to pay monthly dues
	2.	to attend at least 2 practices per week (our current practice times are Sunday and Monday nights)
	3.	to pay for upkeep of equipment (skates, pads, helmet, uniforms, bandaids, etc)
	5.	to get lots of bumps and bruises
	6.	to have a ton of fun and be around wonderful, supportive, and hard core athletes
