How’d you pick your name? The AMAZING Mal Pacino gave it to me!

Hometown: Endicott, NY

First Bout Coached: Home Teams Debut – August 27th, 2011

Real job: Systems Operator for a Gaming Company

You wouldn’t know I……Totaled my Dad’s car while taking my drivers’ license road test with the State instructor in the car and I cried cause she gave me an incomplete(really, who get’s an incomplete)!

Why did you join CQS? I was instantly hooked after attending my first bout and continued to follow and attend bouts, until the day I met May Q. Panic and she found out I have previous sports coaching experience… and it’s been a wild roller coaster ride(I never want to get off) ever since!

What do you like most about Derby? The skater analytical dynamics… They take so much and keep pushing forward.

What’s your favorite derby memory? Driving from “Camp Taylor” with Boston, Grafik and Leightal to Knoxville, TN to watch 5 bouts and getting Derby Ninja’s and then racing to Asheville, NC for another bout. All while watching “Finding Nemo” and Saturday night lives: “The Best of Cheri Oteri”.

What’s your derby mantra? Keep skating!

What is your biggest accomplishment with CQS thus far? Earning the trust of the skaters in the league; which because of them I have gotten to the level of coaching that I am!

What other teams have you worked with/coached? This is my first league to work with; I’m still a derby newbie!

If I could trade __my height__ with __Mega M’Day(she’s really tall, even more so on skates)___, I would be __seen by the skaters on the track when I am on the bench___.

What is the funniest reaction you’ve received telling someone that you coach roller derby? Not really a funny reaction, more like shock.

Does the magic of CQS’s success lie in your bald head? I think not, but before each practice and bout, I rattle my head like the “Magic 8-Ball” and keep getting the same answer, “Stick with them, they are the future… They will take YOU places!”

Favorite Derby word: “simmer down now”
